Oh, Canada at MASS MoCA
North Adams, Massachusetts

From 26-27 May 2012, The Power Plant will travel to North Adams, Massachusetts for the Opening of
Oh, Canada at MASS MoCA, the largest survey of contemporary Canadian art ever produced outside of Canada.
Curated by MASS MoCA curator Denise Markonish, this exhibition will present work by more than 60 Canadian artists from across the country, including Kim Adams, Nicolas Baier, Daniel Barrow, Shary Boyle, Douglas Coupland, Ruth Cuthand, Dave and Jenn, Michel De Broin, Marcel Dzama, Michael Fernandes, Noam Gonick and Luis Jacob, Hadley + Maxwell, David Harper, David Hoffos, Kristan Horton, Terrence Houle, Allison Hrabluik, Sarah Anne Johnson, Garry Neill Kennedy, Wanda Koop, Diane Landry, Micah Lexier, Craig Leonard, Myfanwy MacLeod, Kelly Mark, Luanne Martineau, Rita McKeough, Divya Mehra, Chris Millar, Kent Monkman, Graeme Patterson, Ed Pien, Annie Pootoogook, Ned Pratt, Michael Snow, Ron Terada, and Étienne Zack.

Past Trips
The Power Plant in Copenhagen
Over four days, Members experienced an exclusive look at the art, architecture, cuisine and design of Copenhagen and surrounding areas. The art travel group toured the Simon Starling exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenbourg, with Director Mark Sladen, visited the Louisiana Museum, ARKEN and the Thorvaldsens Museum. Meetings with art dealer Nicolai Wallner, artists, SUPERFLEX, Kaspar Bonnén and Soft Turns, and architectural firm, Bjarke Ingels Group provided an excellent contemporary view on what Copenhagen has to offer today.
The Power Plant in Montreal
In May 2011, a group of Circle of Supporters Members and International Patrons traveled to Montreal for a tour of Biennale de Montreal, a private tour of the Ceal Floyer exhibition at DHC/ART Foundation for Contemporary Art, as well as studio visits and a private collection tour.
The Power Plant in Berlin
In October 2010, a group of Members traveled to Berlin for a once-in-a-lifetime insider's tour of Berlin. Highlights included studio visits with Franz Ackermann, Douglas Gordon, Alijcia Kwade, and Jonathan Monk; a private talk with Phil Collins; a tour of Olafur Eliasson's studio; a tour of the Boros Collection; and a tour of the Hamburger Bahnhof with Gabriele Knapstein and introduction by Udo Kittelman.
