Power Ball 10: DECADANCE

Power Ball 10 evite[+]

Power Ball was born on 1 June 1999 and out of the gates set the standard for ambitious, glitzy and outrageous art-party fundraisers. Power Ball turned 10 this year and to celebrate the anniversary as the best and biggest party in town, we themed Power Ball 10 DECADANCE. Featuring burlesque dancers, artist performances and nearly 1,500 trend-setting party revelers, 22 May was a night to remember, with outstanding entertainment, music, food, art, and fashion.

Power Ball Co-Chairs Paul Bain, Ken Montague and Elisa Nuyten got back to the event’s roots as “the original contemporary art party” and concentrated on bringing innovative and interactive artist installations to the event. And this year, thanks to the generosity of Power Plant supporters, 150 local contemporary artists were able to attend the festivities through Artist Ambassador Ticket Packages. The result was a party filled with what The Globe and Mail’s Tabatha Southey described as “effortless, creative glamour everywhere as well as a roll call of the Toronto art, design and media world.”

About The Power Ball.

The Power Ball is The Power Plant's annual high-profile fundraising event that brings together the who's who of the contemporary arts and culture worlds. The invitation to the Power Ball is coveted each year as The Power Plant opens its doors to Toronto's, and indeed Canada’s, taste leaders who support gallery exhibition and educational programming through this unique fundraiser.
