The Power Plant was pleased to present the first comprehensive exhibition by Fiona Banner in Canada in 2007. Banner's work, an investigation of language, looks at the representation of the body and war in film. For the exhibition, Banner presented an alphabet works in neon and as drawings constructed out of fighter jet planes parts, a 6-metre high wing of a jet standing upright, wall-text pieces, and a live/performance piece. This exhibition catalogue includes an insightful interview between the curator, Gregory Burke, and the artist, as well as a number of installation images from the exhibition at The Power Plant. The catalogue serves as a document of the show, and was therefore printed on newsprint.
