Join artist Ulla von Brandenburg as she gives insight into her artistic approach and speaks about her Summer 2016 exhibition It Has a Golden Red Sun and an Elderly Green Moon. The exhibition features a new film and site-specific installation, as well as a survey of recent film works. In von Brandenburg’s films figures act in mise-en-scène like environments that are hard to situate in a specific time or place, although they contain an abundance of references from theories of theatre, movement, dance, colours, and modernism. Her installations of wood structures and fabrics often reference the setting of the film in the gallery space.
