Power Youth

Wearable Art with Asia Clarke

On Tuesday evenings, youth at the Spruce Clubhouse in Regent Park will work with jewelry artist Asia Clarke to produce wearable art and learn about entrepreneurship. Clarke will empower youth to create cultural accessories and artifacts in order to inform their identity. Youth will learn about the erasure of the history of marginalized communities and learn how artifacts are an important resistance to colonialism.
The program also aims to provide youth with entrepreneurial skills and tools should they wish to start a business and/or sell their artwork in the future.
