Roodboy 1

Continuing the discussion about who is valued in society this print, part of Price's "Rood" series draws upon the language of religious iconography and Jamaican street culture. The term Rood refers to a triumphal crucifix in a church and the play on words with "Rude boy" draws the viewer's attention to the contrasting attributes and reverence attributed to both.

The edition is printed from a carved wooden sheet with varying ink levels throughout, which underlines the hand made nature of each print.
