SOLD OUT | Georganne Deen

Georganne Deen is not afraid to expose her traumas in her paintings, though the scenes depicted in her work are more than autobiographical. Deen allegorizes a past shared by a generation. Her paintings assume a somewhat old-fashioned, anti-naturalistic genre, since the allegorical form is so effective for telling stories with images, symbols and text.

Accompanying Georganne Deen's solo exhibition in Summer 1998, this 48-page softcover catalogue features images of Deen’s work and an essay by curator Philip Monk.
