School Tours
Discover contemporary art with your class on a guided school tour. Our programs, connect with the Ontario Curriculum in fun and creative ways. Students will explore exhibitions, ask questions, and take part in hands-on discussions that bring learning to life.
Tour Options
Please note that all guided and curatorial tours require a minimum of one weeks advance notice.
Guided Tour
Our knowledgeable Gallery Attendants offer insightful guided tours of our current exhibitions. Guided tours are adaptable for all ages and interests and take 30–60 minutes.
Fees: $5/student + HST (instructors and chaperones are free)
Curatorial Guided Tour
Join an exciting tour led by one of our highly skilled curators to get a deeper look into the current exhibitions at The Power Plant. Curatorial Guided Tours are adaptable for all ages and interests and take 60 minutes.
Fees: $500/hour + HST for corporates and $250 + HST for non-profit organizations
Art Activity + Tour
Designed for students in Grades K-12, this experience combines a guided tour of selected artworks with an art-making activity that extends students' engagement with the art and ideas on view. Activities vary by age group and season and are available on Tuesdays only, with morning (10 AM–11:30 AM) and afternoon (12:30 PM–2:30 PM) sessions.
Fees: $13 per student + HST. Instructors and chaperones attend for free.
A Teacher Evening at The Power Plant

Join us after hours for an inside look at what’s happening at The Power Plant this season. Explore works on display, preview upcoming exhibitions, get a special sneak peek behind the scenes, and experience a taste of how we approach learning with contemporary art.
During the evening, we’ll introduce our 2026–27 exhibitions and school programs, share resources for bringing contemporary art into the classroom, and invite you to experience a short activity from our Learning & Engagement programs.
