Temporary Opening Hours

Excuse our appearance as parts of the building will be under construction over the next few weeks. Starting from February 28 and until further notice, The Power Plant will reduce its opening hours due to building renovations. We will also be moving our main entrance to the doors facing the lake for the moment being.

Free Weekly Power Tours

Curious to learn more about contemporary art exhibitions at The Power Plant? Join us for weekly free thirty-minute giuded Power Tours to explore ideas behind artworks on view. Happening every Thursday at 6 PM and every Saturday at 3 PM. No sign up required, just drop by!

On May 1, 1987, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery opened its doors for the first time. For the past 35 years, we've stayed true to our commitment to exhibit artists from diverse backgrounds, draw attention to pressing issues, and connect with communities from Canada and around the world through contemporary art. To this day, The Power Plant remains an open platform for thought-provoking art, ideas, and conversations.
