This one-day symposium invited audiences to consider different ways in which the relationship between still and moving images is mobilized in contemporary artistic practice. Toronto-based artist Annie MacDonell discussed her current work in progress, “Holding Still // Holding Together”, which uses video to restage still images of current and historical political protests.
