This one-day symposium invited audiences to consider different ways in which the relationship between still and moving images is mobilized in contemporary artistic practice. Artistic Director at the Walker Art Centre, Fionn Meade discussed the past year of Walker Moving Image Commissions and the approach underpinning the program. Meade also addressed the Walker’s current exhibition, “Ordinary Pictures” (February 27, 2016 – October 9, 2016).
