Angeline Scherf has been the Chief Curator at ARC, the contemporary department of the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, since 2007. She has curated numerous individual and group exhibitions including Resisting the Present. Mexico 2000-2012, an exhibition focusing on young Mexican artists (2012); Dynasty, in collaboration with the Palais de Tokyo (2010); Apichatpong Weerasethakul: Primitive (2009); Gelitin: La Louvre Paris; Peter Doig (2008); Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster & Cie: Expodrome; Kara Walker: Mon Ennemi, Mon Frère, Mon Bourreau, Mon Amour (2007); Karen Kilimnik (2006); Doug Aitken: Ultraworld; Steve McQueen: Speaking in Tongues; Anne-Marie Schneider: Fragile Incassable (2003); Philippe Parreno: Alien Seasons; Olafur Eliasson (2002) and L’hiver de l’amour (1994). Angeline Scherf will speak about her curatorial practice and interest in defining new frames for exhibitions.
