Among the almost 200 works currently in the collection are pieces by Canadian artists such as Marcel Dzama, Kelly Mark, Derek Sullivan, Jason de Haan, Liz Magor, Douglas Coupland, Michael Snow and General Idea, and international artists such as Jonathan Monk, Kalup Linzy, Assume Vivid Astro Focus, David Shrigley, Christian Boltanski, Christian Marclay and Robert Indiana.
In its July 2012 issue, Modern Painters magazine included Bill on its annual list of the "50 Most Interesting Collectors Under 50 Worldwide". Last fall, he was also profiled along with five other Canadian collectors in the September issue of the Globe & Mail's Report on Business magazine. Bill has spoken about building an art collection "when you're not a Rockefeller" on panels at the AGO, the MoCCA, Art Toronto and other venues. He is also an arts writer who has been published frequently in ARTnews, Canadian Art, Border Crossings, Modern Painters and other magazines, and he is the editor of Magenta, an online visual arts publication produced by the Magenta Foundation.
