Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev

Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev is the Artistic Director of documenta (13), which will be taking place from June to September 2012 in Kassel, Germany. Prior to her appointment, Christov-Bakargiev was the Chief Curator at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art in Turin from 2002 to 2008 and the Artistic Director for the 16th Biennale of Sydney (2008). From 1999 to 2001 she was Senior Curator of Exhibitions at PS1, New York. Christov-Bakargiev is also an accomplished writer with a background in both literature and the history of art. She will speak about her practice and her plans for documenta (13).
