Born in Toronto, Michael Snow’s career spans a variety of media, including, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, film, video, and sound art. He has received numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship (1972); the Order of Canada (1982 and 2000); and the first Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts for Cinema (2000). Snow has had solo exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto; XXV Venice Biennale; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centre George Pompidou, Paris; Kunstmuseum, Luzern, Switzerland; List Gallery, MIT, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo; The Power Plant, Toronto; and Musée d'Art Contemporain, Montréal, among others. Together, Snow and Christian Marclay will engage in a dialogue about The Power Plant’s exhibition The Clock.
