Circle of Contemporaries is a new membership program for young art enthusiasts and those seeking further engagement in the art world. The program consists of a series of annual events, including studio, collection and gallery visits curated by The Power Plant. A Circle of Contemporaries membership also includes a ticket to Power Ball, Toronto's most notorious art party! All membership fees go towards supporting the ambitious exhibitions and programming at The Power Plant. Learn all about it here.
Our first ever Circle of Contemporaries event will take place on Tuesday, April 17 at 6 pm at Olga Korper Gallery. All are welcome to come by for drinks and informal discussion with artist Meaghan Hyckie, as she shows us around her new exhibition, The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Atomic Radiaton. Hyckie is a Toronto-based artist, whose impactful large-scale pencil crayon drawings explore a shifting tension between everyday imagery and more sinister forces.
