Fumio Nanjo: From Belief to Wonder – The Singapore Biennale

Leading contemporary art curator Fumio Nanjo is Artistic Director of the second Singapore Biennale, 2008, and Director of the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. Based on the theme of "wonder," and featuring fifty international artists, including Daniel Buren, Anthony McCall and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the Singapore Biennale explores marvels, riddles and illusions, and asks visitors “to question and be curious; to reach beyond the surface, surpassing the apparent and to allow ourselves to be surprised, awed, tantalized, and challenged.”
