Sun Oct 05 2008

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Iwona Blazwick is a dynamic force within the British art world. As Director of London’s Whitechapel Art Gallery, Blazwick spearheads the institution’s $26 million transformation of a former library adjoining the Gallery into a new arts resource. In her former position as Head of Exhibitions and Displays at Tate Modern, Blazwick played a key role in defining one of the world’s most popular art museums. Blazwick examines a hundred years of exhibitions at the Whitechapel to ask how curating and the conditions of looking have evolved.
