Jessica Thompson and Lee Ann Fujii.

The Power Plant was saddened to learn of the loss of Lee Ann Fujii, who passed away suddenly on March 2. A highly respected scholar of political violence, ethnicity and race, African politics and field methods, she was a vibrant and much-loved member of the University of Toronto, and the wider community. Jessica Thompson will present this discussion in her honour.

Lee Ann Fujii is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto, specializing in political violence and African politics, especially in Rwanda. Jessica Thompson is a media artist working in sound, performance and mobile technologies. Her practice investigates the ways in which sound reveals spatial and social conditions within cities.
