Former curators at The Power Plant engage in a series of conversations with key artists who have exhibited at the gallery over the past twenty-five years. They will discuss aspects of Toronto’s art history, past, present and future, including transformations to artists’ practices and to institutional and curatorial models.

Barbara Fischer is currently Executive Director/Chief Curator of the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery at the University of Toronto, and was Curator at The Power Plant from 1988–90. Luis Jacob is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist, writer and curator who was included in The Power Plant exhibitions If We Can’t Get It Together (2008–09) and We Can Do This Now (2006). Jacob and Fischer are engaged in an ongoing dialogue and have worked on the exhibitions Funkaesthetics (co-curated by Jacob & Pan Wendt, 2009) and Golden Streams (curated by Jacob, 2002).
