The Power Plant

Inspired by themes of theatricality and performance found in the work of Althea Thauberger, this workshop focuses on character development and mask-making. Participants will begin by developing an imaginary character using various theatrical techniques. Following this, each participant will make a creative mask based on their character, using various artistic materials. The workshop culminates in a performance where each participant may act out their character. Each participant will have a finished mask to take home.

For children ages 8–12 and their younger siblings and adult companions. Parents are expected to join their children in all activities.

Tours and workshops are led by artist-educator and Animateur at The Power Plant Anna Bouzina and her artist-educator assistant Marina Guglielmi.
