Join us for an evocative evening of poetry within To dream of other places, an exhibition by Emmanuel Osahor, where beauty and sorrow intertwine.
This special program features readings by Molly Peacock, Elizabeth Mudenyo, Cassidy McFadzean, and more to be announced. These Toronto-based poets will share reflections on nature, the human experience, and the emotional landscapes that shape our lives, all within a contemplative, almost dreamlike gallery space, where nature becomes a site of both solace and complexity.
The evening offers a quiet moment to listen, connect, and experience the powerful convergence of poetry and visual art.

About the Poets:
Molly Peacock’s latest poetry collection is The Widow’s Crayon Box (W.W. Norton). Author of 8 collections and the founder of The Best Canadian Poetry series, Peacock has also written two illustrated biographies about women artists, gardens and creativity, The Paper Garden: Mrs. Delany Begins Her Life’s Work at 72 (Bloomsbury) and Flower Diary: Mary Hiester Reid Paints, Travels, Marries & Opens a Door (ECW Press).
Cassidy McFadzean is the author of three books of poetry: Crying Dress (House of Anansi, 2024), Drolleries (McClelland & Stewart 2019), shortlisted for the Raymond Souster Award, and Hacker Packer (M&S 2015), winner of two Saskatchewan Book Awards and finalist for the Gerald Lampert Award. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Joyland, The Walrus, Hazlitt, and Dead Writers (Invisible Publishing, 2025). Her chapbook Third State of Being (Gaspereau Press, 2022) was a finalist for the bpNichol Chapbook Award.
Elizabeth Mudenyo is a poet, collective daydreamer and arts manager based in Scarborough. Elizabeth is a fellow of The Watering Hole and the Poetry Incubator, and a participant of the Hurston/Wright Poetry with Danez Smith and Diaspora Dialogues Short Form Mentorship with Olive Senior. Her work has appeared in Write Magazine, The Ex-Puritan, Obsidian Literature and Arts, CV2, and elsewhere. Her poetry chapbook, With Both Hands, was published through Anstruther Press. She is a graduate of the MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph.
