Power Kids: Things the Wind Carries
Sun Jan 31 2027
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Wind Ribbons
How can we see wind? Inspired by movement, weather and our windy January waterfront environment, participants will create colourful wind ribbons that make invisible air currents visible. We will experiment with different lengths, materials, and forms, then take our ribbons outside to observe how wind moves through and around the Harbourfront. What happens when the wind changes direction? How does movement change the different materials? Participants will use drawing and observation to record what they notice, transforming an invisible force into something we can see, follow, and respond to.
