The Power Plant

Ydessa Hendeles is not just an artist, but a collector and curator as well! She often collects objects and then organizes these objects to present a new narrative or idea. In this workshop, we will recontextualize a collection of repurposed children’s toys, using them as the base materials for an artwork. Participants will challenge themselves by creating assemblage sculptures with different elements in only one chosen colour. Their sculpture will tell a story or create a larger form that has never existed before.
