Spoken Word & Rap with Matthew-Ray "Testament" Jones

Mon Jan 09 2017

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club of Weston-Mount Dennis

Spoken word artist Matthew-Ray Jones (aka “Testament) was selected by the youth at St. Alban’s Boys and Girls Clubs of Weston-Mount Dennis Humber Clubhouse. Youth discovered “the power of words, music and sounds.” From 9 January to 1 May 2017, Jones inspired youth through words in his workshop series, Raise Your Words. In response to the traditional story-telling which infused Maria Hupfield's artwork, youth learned how to share personal narratives through spoken word, hip-hop, and rap.
