Sasha Huber is a Swiss-Haitian-Finnish artist who lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. In her lens and performance-based practice, Huber addresses the politics of memory and belonging, particularly in relation to colonial residue left in the environment. Her major solo exhibition YOU NAME IT was presented at Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam (2021); and it will travel to the Autograph Gallery, London (2022); and Turku Art Museum (2023). She has participated in international exhibitions, including the 56th Venice Biennale (2015); 19th Biennale of Sydney (2014); and 29th São Paulo Biennial (2010). Huber is completing her PhD studies at the Department of Art and Media at the Zurich University of the Arts, and she holds an MA from the University of Art and Design Helsinki.
