The Power Plant

Inspired by the collaborative nature of Toronto-based artists Nadia Belerique, Lili Huston-Herterich and Laurie Kang’s current exhibition The Mouth Holds the Tongue, participants will work together to transform an ordinary space into a creative play structure. With a focus on collaboration, co-operation and play, participants will learn basic engineering and sculptural building techniques to transform materials such as cardboard, textiles and plasticine into a giant maze-like environment. In addition, participants will make objects to include within the maze, which they can take home at the end of the workshop.

Tours and workshops are led by artist-educator Anna Bouzina and assisted by Adrienne Costantino, TD Curator of Education and Outreach Fellow.

Please note: For children ages 8 – 12 and their younger siblings and adult companions. Caregivers are expected to join their children in all activities.
