Drop the Camera: Appropriated Footage, Cultural Anxieties

Sampling sound and image, a new generation of artists is taking film and video footage from its original narrative contexts to generate fresh meanings and relevance. The screening features work by artists that challenge ideas about authorship and intellectual property while meditating upon contemporary social and political anxieties.
