The Power Plant

Erika DeFreitas is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary conceptual artist. DeFreitas explores the influence of language, loss and culture on the formation of identity through textile-based works and performative actions. She often makes use of photography to document her work, placing emphasis on process and gesture. DeFreitas will discuss Franz Erhard Walther’s exhibition Call to Action.
