This two-part workshop covers essential computer-based photo editing skills and is led by Jordan Fang, an instructor with Humber College’s Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology. Attendees will be equipped with tools that allow them to superimpose hand sketches and drawings into photographs of existing spaces to communicate ideas for proposals visually. Attendees will receive recordings of the live sessions after the workshop is complete and open-source software and tools that can be used outside of the workshop.

This program, co-presented by The Power Plant and Humber College, is one of several organized by a collective of nine non-profit, non-collecting contemporary art and film organizations in Toronto that received Open Door funding from the Toronto Arts Council.

This program is for The Power Plant membership holders and RBC Emerging Artist Network members only.

About HORIZON

In Fall 2018, The Power Plant and YYZ Artists' Outlet teamed up with seven other contemporary visual art and film organizations in Toronto for a two-year initiative, called HORIZON, funded with an Open Door grant from the Toronto Arts Council. During the first phase, the nine partner organizations conducted focus groups and town halls to gather information about the needs of emerging and established artists in and around Toronto. Now into the second phase, the organizations are developing and offering programs that address some of the artists’ needs.
