Under the joint leadership of Co-Directors James Lingwood and Michael Morris, more than 100 outstanding international artists have worked with Artangel to transform a range of particular places from the ordinary to the extraordinary; ornate palaces to terraced houses, abandoned villages to empty department stores, daytime television, late-night radio and online spaces.

These projects have materialized in many different sites and situations and in countless forms of media from film to sculpture, music and dance to literature and sound installation. Artangel always enjoys close collaboration with artists to realise the full potential of their ideas in whichever form and context seems best, generating some of the most talked-about, contentious and acclaimed art of recent times, including work by Francis Alÿs, Matthew Barney, Atom Egoyan, Jeremy Deller, Brian Eno, Douglas Gordon, Steve McQueen, Michael Landy, Susan Philipsz, Gregor Schneider, P.J. Harvey, Rachel Whiteread, Tony Oursler and many others.

James Lingwood and Michael Morris will reflect on 25 years with no fixed address.
