Kristin Plys is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Toronto specializing in critical theories of the Global South. She has a PhD from Yale University and has held visiting positions at Lahore University of Management Sciences (Pakistan), Georg-August-Universität-Göttingen (Germany), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (India). Plys will discuss Naeem Mohaiemen’s film Afsan’s Long Day, The Young Man Was: Part 2 (2014).
