The Power Plant

Responding to this season’s exhibitions by Jeneen Frei Njootli and Christina Leslie, musicians Dennis Passley, Larnell Lewis, and Dwight Jones present original compositions as part of KUUMBA 365, a celebration of Black culture through sound. Presented by The Power Plant in partnership with Harbourfront Centre, the program culminates in a collective performance that brings music and contemporary art into conversation.

On February 6, the three soloists will perform together in The Fleck at Harbourfront Centre Theatre at 8 PM, offering a unique live experience that bridges music and contemporary art. Ticket holders are invited to arrive early for a pre-show reception from 6 PM–7:30 PM in the lobby with the opportunity to explore The Power Plant’s exhibitions, open for viewing throughout the evening. Additionally, the musicians will each lead masterclasses On February 7, 14, and 21, 2026, providing participants with the opportunity to engage directly with their practice.
