The Power Plant

Artist Mark Lewis explores the use of space, architecture and the urban landscape of Toronto in his exhibition Invention. For this workshop, participants will investigate how cities are structured and the ways in which citizens interact with their urban environment. Using a variety of media including paint, pastels, tape and markers, participants will work both individually and collaboratively to create a large-scale model of a cityscape. Each participant will then further transform the cityscape by creating life-sized silhouettes that will be placed within the mural. At the end of the workshop participants can take their silhouettes home.
