Mary Tremonte, Figure Boxes. Photo courtsey the artist.
Silkscreen Power Up! uses silkscreen printing to engage youth on themes of individual and community identity. Power Youth Artist-in-Residence Mary Tremonte will help youth explore a variety of processes including zine making, silkscreen printing, and poster design. Youth will design and screen-print material that communicates their interests and concerns. By screen-printing onto fabric, these images will translate into soft sculptures, including a useful series of bean bag chairs that will remain at the Boys and Girls Club to keep a teen-friendly presence and visibility.
