Created by Vejas Kruszewski in 2015, VEJAS first debuted in New York City for AW15 with an intimate off-schedule presentation and was quickly heralded for its independent spirit, and the accessibility of its garments. Combining common or familiar elements with a twisted sensibility, the label aims to pervert the natural to create areas of interest in otherwise uniform garments. The brand was born of a desire by Kruszewski to externalize a personal narrative, and armour himself within it. In 2016 VEJAS was shortlisted and subsequently announced as a finalist for the LVMH Prize.
