Sven Lütticken teaches art history at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he coordinates Research Master's Programme Visual Arts, Media and Architecture: Critical Studies in Art and Culture. He is the author of the books Secret Publicity: Essays on Contemporary Art (2006), Idols of the Market: Modern Iconoclasm and the Fundamentalist Spectacle (2009) and History in Motion: Time in the Age of the Moving Image (2013).

In conjunction with his International Lecture Series, Motion, Captured The Power Plant is pleased to co-present a workshop with Sven Lütticken in partnership with Images Festival, TYPOLOGY and Mercer Union. Participants in this workshop will take a deeper look into the fundamental shifts occuring within the field of motion study.
