The Power Plant

Inspired by Micah Lexier’s Self Portrait as Wall Text, participants in this workshop will explore the potential of text and language to express aspects of identity in self portraits that are both visual and verbal. Participants will use a variety of artistic media such as ink, markers, collage, and stenciling to create their individual self portraits, and will take them home at the end of the session.

For children ages 8 – 12 and their younger siblings and adult companions. Caregivers are expected to join their children in all activities.

Tours and workshops are led by artist-educator Anna Bouzina, assisted by Marina Guglielmi.
