The Power Plant

In our new Cross Circuits event series, professionals from diverse fields—science, technology, literature, and beyond—are invited to engage with our exhibitions.

In partnership with Harbourfront Centre, The Power Plant presents KUUMBA 365, a year-long initiative celebrating Black cultures and creative practices.

Power Kids is a series of free creative workshops for children aged 7–12, led by skilled and dynamic artist-educators and inspired by our current exhibitions.

The Power Plant introduces live performances by world’s most exciting contemporary artists – live and in person.

Current exhibiting artists engage in a series of conversations with key curators and discuss art, history, past, present, and future, including transformations to artists’ practices and to institutional and curatorial models.

The Power Plant invites Artist Members to participate in our special Master Class events with artists! Master Class is a special event organized uniquely for The Power Plant's Artist Members. In these sessions, participants get to meet an invited guest artist, demonstrate their work and get to receive constructive feedback.

Artists, curators, critics, and others gather in our Symposiums to discuss key ideas raised by current exhibitions.
